GPs are not always using the best online resources in treating patients with the hearing condition tinnitus, researchers at Nottingham universities found.
The study looked at the ten main websites used by GPs to get information and found that the two best for assessing or managing tinnitus — Map of Medicine and the British Tinnitus Association (BTA) — were rarely used. The research is published in the journal BMC Medical Informatics and Decision Making.
